Yes indeed, researchers at the IRCCS Neuromed Institute in Italy evaluated the diets of 23,000 people and found zero correlation between pasta and an unhealthy weight.
In fact, the consumption of pasta is actually linked to a decrease in body mass index, a lower waist circumference and a better waist-hip ratio, as long as it’s consumed in moderation and as part of a healthy and balanced Mediterranean diet (with plenty of fish and veggies versus meat).
